Forest biomes make up one third of the earth's surface. They also contain 70% of carbon present in living things.
There are 3 regions of forest biomes tropical, temperate, and boreal forests. In the tropical forest it is characterized by having the most diversity of species. It is also warm the majority of the time in this region. In the temperate forest the seasons are very defined and you can really see the different seasons. In this region the weather does change depending on the season where it can be warm or it can be cold. In the boreal forest most of the time it is cold and the temperature is relatively low. There is also warm weather but mostly very cold and long winters. |
